Self-care is not self indulgence, it is self preservation
What do you think of when anyone mentions self-care? Maybe a luxury. Maybe an every once in a while indulgence? Maybe even something that you have not done in a very long time.
Well, self-care is a necessity. Not a nice to have. Something we must find the time for.
At the end of last month, I started a self-care journey to ring in 62 days before my 62nd birthday. I always set goals leading up to my birthday but this year I got a late start because of a broken bone in my leg which sidelined me and some of my goals. But, I know I need to do self-care leading up to and starting my new year.
When I use to think about practicing self-care a spa would come to mind and I knew that was something I could not do all the time. But there are so many ways to practice self care.
